Plants in Rocks

from lifeless stone
to sacred vessel

Formed by the earth over eons and hollowed with quiet intention to create space for life to take hold

plants in rocks began with a question: What does it mean to be alive?

  • Why are we here? What’s it all about? What is this thing we call Life?

In a fast-paced world fueled by constant urgency, it’s easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees. Between career demands, family obligations, and endless to-do lists, life can slip by in a blur. Until one day we glance in the rearview mirror and wonder what it was all for.

In the quiet moments spent caring for my plants, life seemed to slowed down. The simple rituals of care — pruning, watering, observing — helped me feel more connected to Life itself. One day, I asked my plants what they knew of the meaning of it all.

To my surprise, the answer came immediately. It was simple, direct, and quietly profound. It whispered through the geometry of their leaves, the bend of their trunks, and the twist of their roots.

Plants in Rocks was born from that silent interaction — a quiet way to reflect back what I found in the stillness of that moment, a way to share a simple idea. This force of consciousness we call Life is the way in which Existence experiences Itself.

Through my work, I hope to capture this simple truth and help us remember to always live Life to the fullest.
